The Devil And Tom Walker Inferences

I can infer that old snatch was the devil because of the way the author described the character. He indirectly told us by saying " he was dressed in a rude, half Indian garb... but his face was neither black nor copper color but swarthy and dingy with soot as if he had been accustomed to all among fires and forges" .But he failed to leave out " He scowled for a moment at Tom with a pair of red eyes “. Something else is the way Old Snatch Exit after talking to Tom. The author said “ to go down down into the earth until nothing but his head and shoulders could be seen “
Another inference I made was Tom's wife was a mean and loud women. He indirectly said “Tom’s wife was a tall termagant, fierce of temper, loud of tongue and strong arm ". Also being indirect about tom’s Wife which lead us to think she was greedy. “All her avarice was awakened at the mention of hidden gold, and she urged her husband to comply with the black man’s terms and secure what would make them wealthy for life “.

I can infer that Tom is a very nosey man because the author indirectly told me “Her husband was continually prying about to detect her secrets hoards”. Another thing the author indirectly told us is that he us not easily deceived. “Tom was a hard – minded fellow …” Another inference I made by the authors choice of words that Tom really didn’t care for his wife. After he found her heart and liver in her apron the author states  “ He even felt something like gratitude towards the black woodsman who considered had done him kindness “

Mary Phillips Dress Code .

I was asked for my personal opinion about the dress code here at Mary Phillips. The dress code here is okay, but it leaves me feeling as if it’s a good thing and a bad thing. I like to be my own person and dress according to my mood in the morning. But I also feel like it’s a good thing because it helps others actually focus on their education and any other things I the school that doesn't matter. Early mornings rushing is such a hassle and another reason I honestly like dress code.
My first reason to not liking the dress code is because I like to dress the way I want to be looked at or as other people would say represent. The clothes I put on is based on my mood in the mornings. I express myself through my clothing, because that’s the first thing people look at. So by me not being able to just wear what I want is unusual. I’m a shy person so that means here I have to speak and interact with others, even when I don’t want to.
Going to school everyone looks the same except of the shoes they are wearing. This is my second reason for liking the dress code. It’s already bad enough that we have to wear plain colors for t-shirts and khakis for pants. I’m glad they didn't restrict just any kind of shoes because that would've definitely been much harder for me. But soon we get to have dress down Monday’s.
Last but not least reason number 3. I feel like these khakis could be replaced with navy blue bottoms. For me being a girl it’s much complicated to find my size anywhere I choose to shop. The male gender wear khaki color anything more than girls I think, so it’s fine with them. Also the way they fit too, is a big problem for girls because if we aren't comfortable we  are not going to wear it.

My thoughts about dress code are still mixed. But I’m starting to ease my way to liking it as the days go by so smoothly. I no longer come home to a messy room from myself destroying it in the mornings. I would like to wear my “normal “clothes during the week but instead I just wait for the weekends to come. I guess for progress I’ll have to get attached to the UN normal things in life.

Pinocchio

The theme of Pinocchio is to set a good example of " lying " . This is a good example because you once you tell a lie , you'll get used to telling that same lie or you will tell many others . Once you tell one lie , you have to tell many other lies to equal the first lie you told. In Pinocchio as many lies he told his nose grew longer and longer and longer . So the moral is to never tell a lie because it can and will catch up with you. Present or future it will be hard for people to trust anything you say and the feeling of being untrustworthy im sure doesnt feel good .
